THE PHILIPPINE STUDIES PROGRAM
Aims to reconnect Filipino Americans with the Philippines by providing an opportunity for them to live and study in the archipelago, as well as explore Philippine culture, history and social realities. Projects include the:
- Summer program
- Fall program
- PEACE Program (Philippine Education through
Alternative Cultural Exposure)
THE YOUTH INITIATIVE FOR SOCIAL ACTION (YISA)
Aims to enhance leadership skills and artistic talents of Filipino American youths through leadership workshops, sporting events, summer camps and cultural festivals. Projects include:
- SUMISIGAW Annual Filipino youth festival
- ABaKaDa (Araling Bayan, Karanasan at Dunong)
Filipino language and culture program
SAMAHAN SPORTS PROGRAM
Aims to foster team building, to develop camaraderie and enjoyable pastimes, and to improve the physical fitness of Filipinos and Filipinas in the US. Projects include:
- The Basketball Clinic
- The Girls Sports Program
NEW ORGANIZING INITIATIVES
Aims to initiate and develop new Filipino organizations that foster fellowship and solidarity while working towards a more equitable and just American society.
SANDIWA NATIONAL FILAM YOUTH ORGANIZATION
Aims to educate Filipino American college students and young professionals in advocating and celebrating their Filipino heritage.
